Fill and balance



Watching cars pass by on College Ave. Oct. 22, at John Sproules’ (left) own tailgate while he enjoys some freshly made scrambled eggs. Him and his wife, Kathy Sproules (to the right of him) tailgate at this spot every game day. This week, they brought heaters for inside the tent and their family friends they hadn’t seen in 20 years. The goal was to convince their friend’s daughter to be a freshman at Mizzou next year.

Zack Johnson, 14 (left) and his friend’s father Don Dahlke watch Dahlke’s son, Jesse, 13, bowl. They come to the AMF Columbia Lanes two to three times a week and play tournaments on weekends. Don inspired his son to start bowling at the age of 6 because he has been bowling his entire life. Due to an ankle injury three years ago, Don taught himself how to bowl left handed after 42 years of bowling right-handed.
